Why Photography?
When my son was 6 weeks old, my husband deployed to Afghanistan. Photography was how we stayed connected while he was fighting for his life on the other side of the world. It is deeply emotional for me; an opportunity to connect with the purest joy and hope in bridging the gap of being apart as a young family. Our son embodied all of our hope that my husband would come home safely and that we would feel whole as a family again. Now my son gets to grow up and see, every single day with his portraits on our walls, how very much he is loved. My goal with families is to create that legacy and beauty of a new life beginning so every family member is reminded of that love and hope and joy in their lives.
